Pleasanton, CA – For the first time ever, The Goodguys Rod & Custom Association will stage a year-long National AutoCross Shootout at 11 events this season with the year-end Shootout Finals Presented by BF Goodrich Tires to be held Saturday, November 16th at the Goodguys 16th Southwest Nationals, November 15-17 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Throughout the year, the overall winner (fastest time of the event in any class) from each Goodguys National event where AutoCross is contested (3rd Fall Del mar Nationals not included) will be invited to Scottsdale as a finalist for the AutoCross Finals Shootout.

The Shootout Finals Presented by BF Goodrich Tires will feature a 24-car field made up of 11 finalists from the year-long Shootout, 9 PRO class drivers as well as four entrants who “race their way” into the Finals.  Those final four slots will be filled by the fastest cars on-track Friday, November 15th at the Southwest Nationals.

The Goodguys National AutoCross Finals Shootout winner will receive $3,000 in cash along with a Goodguys AutoCross-themed custom toolbox from Snap-on ($7,000 value) and a set of BFGoodrich Tires. In addition the Shootout winner will be honored with a selection as one of the “Goodguys Top 12 Cars of the Year”.

Goodguys will pay the runner up $1,250 in cash along with a set of BFG tires while the 3rd and 4th place finishers get $500 (3rd place) and $250 (4th place) along with the free set of tires from BFG.
