Dakota Digital has been providing digital gauges for hot rodders and custom car builders for over 25 years, from their original aqua blue digital gauges to their new, and very cool line of gauges called the VHX series.

ddaward01The VHX Series combines the reliability of digital input and displays it as an analog gauge. You can find their gauges on classic cars, hot rods, street rods, trucks and even motorcycles.

At almost any major car show across the country, and especially at many Goodguys Rod and Custom Association events, you can find Dakota Digital in the trenches, sharing their latest products and everything they have to offer the enthusiast.

At one of the biggest events in the country, the PPG Nationals in Columbus, Ohio, Dakota Digital was able to bring home the Best New Product Award in the Electrical Component and Accessories category. Product Specialist Greg Karpe shared the news with us that bringing home the bling was none other than their VHX-1100 Competition Race Package.

The VHX line has been sweeping up awards with it’s very cool looks and their unique approach to instrumentation. The VHX-1100 offers a machined aluminum housing, backlit faces, lighted needles, and two LCD message center displays.

The VHX-1100 has a 0-160 MPH speedometer, a 0-10,000 RPM tachometer, and both an oil pressure and temperature sweep-hand gauges. The digital message centers are programmable for countless expansions, including gear, fuel level, odometer, trip meter, and the list goes on. They are available with blue or red display, with either a white or carbon fiber style face.

Inside the VHX-1100, what you don’t see are the micro-controlled precision stepper motors and solid state sensors, providing accurate details of the user-customizable displays. Check out the Dakota Digital web site to see their entire VHX Series gauges and instrument clusters for many popular vehicles and custom applications. If you thought digital gauges were limited in function, guess again!
