Hennessey Performance has set the fastest Dodge Demon quarter-mile record with a 9.14 second 1/4 mile at 152 mph at Lonestar Motorsports Park on May 8, 2018.
“We wanted to take the car’s impressive track times to an industry-leading level,” said John Hennessey, president and company founder. “Over the past several months we have worked to develop a low 9-second drag car that our customers can drive to the track, put on an impressive show with blistering 1/4 mile times, and then drive home in complete comfort.”
The result of the efforts is the Hennessey Performance HPE1000 upgrade.
The upgrade for the Dodge Demon increases the factory 840 horsepower to a tire-shredding 1,035 horsepower and 948 lb-ft torque. The Hennessey HPE1000 upgrade also shaves the 0-60 mph time to an incomprehensible 1.9 seconds. The HPE1000 upgrade includes a massive 4.5-liter supercharger system that replaces the factory 2.7-liter system. The upgrade also includes stainless steel long tube headers, a high-flow air induction system, upgraded throttle body, upgraded fuel pump, and fuel injectors, with the company’s custom engine management calibration.
All said and done, HPE1000 customers will walk away with a 1 year / 12,000 mile limited warranty from Hennessey Performance.
With production of the Dodge Demon limited to only 3,000 examples, Hennessey Performance will be offering only 50 units. Orders can be placed directly with Hennessey or through authorized Hennessey Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealers.
