QA1 Precision Products, Inc., a leading company in the manufacture of performance shock absorbers, rod ends and suspension components for motorsports, has announced their acquisition of CAP Auto Products, a designer and manufacturer of tubular suspension components for the Mopar community.
The teaming up of the two companies bodes well for the MOPAR enthusiast community. CAP Auto Products has developed a line of tubular suspension components for the Mopar market. The company’s founder, Ray Costello, is a well known enthusiast and drag racer at Chrysler Mo-Power events.
“The upper and lower control arms, k frames, dynamic strut bars and tie rod adjusters from CAP’s line, coupled with QA1’s selection of shock absorbers, provides Mopar enthusiasts with the suspension they’re looking for,” commented Melissa Scoles, VP Marketing at QA1.
Located in Lakeville, MN, the acquisition significantly enhances QA1’s manufacturing capacity, bringing the total plant floor space to 66,000 square feet.
QA1 previously acquired Hal Shocks in 1998 to break into the shock absorber business. To enhance their position as a leading supplier of racing shocks, QA1 purchased Carrera Shocks in 2004.
