Consumers heading to the North American International Auto ShowThis week marks the official beginning of the 2014 car show season, anchored by the North American International Auto Show in the heart of the car industry, Detroit. Just about every automaker will be on hand with their latest and greatest vehicles, including Chrysler, which is set to launch the 2015 Chrysler 200 sedan, and could reveal a supercharged HEMI engine as well.

Once again, Cobo Hall plays host to the NAIAS, and once again Chrysler’s performance arm Mopar set up shop right in the middle of the event. The Mopar Custom Shop shows how factory-direct parts can help you add your own personalized touch to cars from the Chrysler stable.

Cordoning off 5,500 square feet of Cobo Hall’s 723,000 square-feet of floor, Mopar is showing off all sorts of parts and modifications from its official playbook on a variety of Chrysler cars. On hand is a Dodge Challenger, an SRT Viper, a Fiat 500L, a Jeep Wrangler and Cherokee, as well as a Ram 3500 Dually work truck.

Judging from the pictures included with the press release, we expected the 2015 Chrysler 200 could also be part of the Moparized display. Chrysler is providing visitors with iPads to customize their own virtual vehicles to showcase the versatility and variety of parts available from Mopar. With 100s of different parts available for each vehicle, it shouldn’t take long to find something to your own tastes. Who remembers “Direct Connection” and misses it?
