’32 Roadsters are timeless, and that’s exactly why Goodguys chose it as the car they will give away at the 2016 PPG Nationals in Columbus, Ohio.
The car will be built by Mike Goldman Customs, of Mississippi, but before it is given away at the 2016 PPG Nationals, it will be toured for a year – Goodguys event participants, current members, and online entrants will be eligible to win the deuce roadster. “We’ve done some spectacular muscle cars and trucks in the past few years, so we wanted to reach back into the roots of hot rodding and create a bitchin’ deuce roadster,” stated Ed Capen of Goodguys.
The ’32 hi-boy will roll on a TCI chassis with a 4-inch dropped axle and a 4-link rearend, Edelbrock Performer 310 Triple Deuce crate engine, white steel wheels, and will all be topped off in PPG white paint with a black, chopped canvas top. Brady Basner of Powermaster tells us that they’re going to have their adjustable 180 ft-lb starter on the Edelbrock crate engine, as well as one of their GM-style 140 amp alternators that puts out a stout 90+ amps at idle.
“With Mike Goldman’s impeccable build qualities and the industry’s top suppliers donating products, we know this car will not only be top notch, it will stand the test of time upholding our long standing hot rod roots,” said Capen. We can’t wait to see what the roadster looks like in person when it’s finished. We also can’t wait to see who wins it! Stay tuned for more information on this beauty as it surfaces.
