In case you haven’t heard, there’s a new blockbuster video game on the horizon, and it’s called Grand Theft Auto V. The V is for 5, as in the fifth-installment of the storied gaming franchise. The game has reportedly cost Rockstar Games over $260 million, costing more than almost every Hollywood movie ever made. This is a huge, huge game.
Even though Rockstar doesn’t need any help promoting Grand Theft Auto V, they’ve joined forces with video game retailer Gamestop to give away a very special, very custom prize to one lucky winner. That prize is a real-life Bravado Banshee, one of GTA’s most-coveted cars, and it’s based on a new SRT Viper. Do. Want.
Top: the in-game version of the car everyone wanted.
Built by the famed West Coast Customs, of Pimp My Ride fame, the Bravado Banshee was always the car you wanted to drive, but generally had to wait until later in the game to find. The Banshee is an all-out sports car in game and in real life. It doesn’t take a genius to see that the car shares very similar lines to a real-life supercar, the SRT Viper.
Closer reading of the rules also reveals that the custom car is based on a 2013 model, and there is only one 2013 model that fits the Banshee’s profile. The customization is complete from the inside-out, including the Banshee’s toothy logo and every custom-made body panel, made to complete the transformation from video game to real world.
The Rockstar/Gamestop contest runs through the end of September, and GTA V launches on September 17th…that’s next week! Don’t miss your chance to own the ultimate piece of GTA memorabilia.
