Whenever a video starts out with someone going for a drive with a camera strapped to their head, you know some foolishness is going to ensue. Looking at the Corvette driver’s YouTube channel, he has a penchant for testing his mettle against high-power, expensive cars in what he claims to be a base-model 2007 Corvette. After this encounter, he can only say he’s gotten mixed results.
There’s an old saying that goes something like, “Don’t mess with an old man. He didn’t get that old by being stupid.” Whether these young dudes haven’t ever received that advice, or were simply too full of youthful exuberance, they decided to metaphorically poke the bear when they rolled up on an older gentleman in a Dodge Challenger Hellcat.
After a couple quick revs and a ricer fly-by in traffic, the young dudes toss around a little smack talk between each other about how the guy won’t even look over at them. They then decide it would be a good idea to further goad him into opening the Mopar up once they get to an open road.
As the cocky Corvette driver drops a gear and mashes the gas, the Challenger Hellcat effortlessly pulls away. Not satisfied with the results, the Corvette driver tries his hand several more times – all with similar outcomes. Once the two cars come to a stop next to one another, the obviously-excited youngin’ exchanges pleasantries with the remarkably calm older Hellcat driver, before the Mopar roasts the tires and gives the Corvette one last look at his taillights, proving that age is just a number and you’re only as old as you act.
