You may be familiar with the Dream Giveaway contests, but if you’re not, let us introduce you to your new favorite sweepstakes site. The folks at Dream Giveaway have some contests currently running that are of particular interest to muscle car fans – one for a pair of Corvettes (a ’67 Sting Ray 427 and a ’15 Z06), another for a pair of Mustangs (a ’65 “K” code and a ’15 50th Anniversary GT) and now they’ve added a third contest, this time for a pair of Mopar coupes.
The Dodges in question are both particularly rare birds. The old school entry is a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T. Just one of 100 black R/T models made in 1970, this specific car was featured in Dodge’s “Revolution Reborn” commercial in 2012. It sports a 440 V8 good for 375 horsepower with its four barrel carburetor and that motor is hooked to a pistol grip four speed manual gearbox.
While that would normally be enough for us to get started with our entry form, the R/T’s modern counterpart is just as interesting. The car is a 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat which has undergone some extensive modification, and is now dubbed the Hellcat X. Oh, and if you’re thinking, “Great, but who can afford the taxes on both of these cars?” you’re in luck, because they’re adding $40,000 to help pay the taxes on this contest, should you win.
Named after the legendary World War II fighter plane, the Hellcat X makes in excess of 800 horsepower and 800 pound-feet of torque due to the addition of a pair of turbochargers which work in tandem with the 6.2-liter V8’s supercharger, much the way supercharging and turbocharging worked together on the fighter plane.
The Hellcat X also gets aviation-inspired raw-aluminum hood extractors, center hood scoop, accented front grille surround, hand-fabricated rear diffuser, an adjustable high-speed chin spoiler and a beefier deck lid spoiler.
Tickets to enter the contest start at just $3 a piece (and get cheaper as you buy more) and the proceeds from the contest with benefit the New Beginning Children’s Homes charity. You can find all the contest details right here.
