ScottieDTV has brought us another video, this time of a mind blowing 1969 Pontiac Firebird. Scottie was attending the Goodguy’s PPG Nationals in Columbus when he spotted this wild Firebird. The car is owned by Sid Tracy of BBT Fabrications and the concept behind this car is unlike many others: it’s a muscle car with the characteristics of a Lamborghini.
This Firebird can be described as “Stealth Muscle.” This is due to its sleek lines, matte grey paint job, fenders scoops, spoiler below the front bumper and its large black powdercoated Forgeline ZX3P wheels. Essentially the car looks more like a sports car than a muscle car on the outside.
The interior of the car looks like it was pulled from a Lamborghini. The entire dashboard was stripped out and replaced with modern racing gauges. Other mods include a sports car style shifter, a racing steering wheel, black leather racing seats, speakers behind the passenger seats, and modern door panels. The interior is outlined with matte grey trim to match the exterior paint. With all of these luxury and modern features some of you may be asking “where is the muscle?”
This is where the stealth part of the car comes into play, the car may appear to be a sports car on the outside but under the hood sits a tuned Chevy LS3 motor. The motor has been painted matte grey and is covered with a black dress up kit to match the stealth theme. Further keeping with this theme, the LS exhales through an exhaust system with four rectangle style tailpipes, and like on a Lambo these sit under the rear diffuser.
Sid Tracy has built one amazing machine. We have seen cool Pro-Touring cars before, but never have we awed over one like this. He managed to fuse his musclecar with a sports car, and in the process created the ultimate hybrid concept. He deserves to be one of Goodguys’ Top Five Street Machines.
