Jay Leno’s garage is one to be admired and looked at with aw. So when Leno has a reoccurring theme when it comes to performance products he uses on his cars, we take notice. When it comes to his custom exhaust needs, Leno turns to a company we all know and love: Flowmaster Mufflers.
With Flowmaster mufflers put on some of his prized cars, Leno is guaranteed unique designs and optimal performance- something any gearhead would appreciate. In a video recently released on YouTube, Cam Benty from Flowmaster takes us on a tour of Leno’s Flowmaster-equipped cars.
The first car that is featured is Leno’s ‘66 Cobra with a 427cui sock motor. Although it isn’t an engine easily tamed with a muffler, Flowmaster was able to fit the car with a custom stainless steel set-up.
Unlike typical mufflers, the ones equipped on Leno’s Cobra has a Flowmaster-patented design, causing them to remain cool to the touch. While this is a custom exhaust, it is available to the public for any Cobra application.
Leno’s late-model 6.1L HEMI Challenger SRT-8 also sports a Flowmaster exhaust. Equipped with the American Thunder kit, the exhaust gives the Challenger a true muscle car sound. Leno also owns a ‘37 Czechoslovakian Tatra that is Flowmaster equipped, sporting a fully custom exhaust from the company created to replace the missing system.
Another vehicle of Jay’s that is equipped with Flowmaster exhaust components is his highly-modified Oldsmobile Torinado. The custom exhaust adds a throatier muscle car sound to the 1,070hp 425cui twin turbo-charged engine powering the vehicle.
With all his Flowmaster-equipped cars, it is easy to see that Leno is a fan of the company. Unlike some companies that help modify celebrity cars, Flowmaster is not just about the big-names and high-dollar jobs. They have exhaust components for anyone’s project- minor or extensive. Jay trusts them, so why not check them out and see what they can do for your performance exhaust needs?
