That little ol’ band from Texas is back again with another one of their patented sexy, high-horsepower videos. Z.Z. Top’s new release called, “I Gotsta Get Paid” stays true to their formula of hot rods, hot women and rock n‘ roll.
Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill and Frank Beard can be counted upon to use their music, hot rods and beautiful females tap into the fantasy of the male. All we can say is...Thanks guys!
The video features Billy Gibbons’ hot rod ‘Whisky Runner’ followed in hot pursuit by a cadre of beauties being driven by gorgeous women. The four-wheeled knockouts in the video giving chase are creations from the renowned So-Cal Speed Shop. As an added treat for those of us who are hot rod crazy, this group also includes the supercharged shop truck designed and built by So-Cal’s famed designer and fabricator, Jimmy Shine featuring a flathead engine build by Mike Herman at H&H Flatheads.
All of the hot rods in the video were created at So-Cal Speed Shop. Jimmy Shine's shop truck and Gibbons' Whisky Runner are two great examples of traditional style hot rods developed to the highest levels.
The song itself is a re-tooling of a 90’s hip-hop work originated by Houston area artists DJ DMD Feat, Lil’ Keke & Fat Pat. However in true hot rodder fashion, the band has reworked and recast the song with a driving rock hook along with Z.Z.Top’s unmistakable Texas twang. The resulting rock n’ roll rendition appeal has been so wide as to be included in a widely viewed TV commercial.
