To some people, the best part of a classic musclecar is showing it off and winning awards. To others, the best part is planting your butt in the seat, turning the key, and putting it into gear. Driving your classic car is doing exactly what it was built for.

But today’s streets are filled with nimble miniatures of real cars, and they have fancy suspensions that make our classics ride like an old hay truck. To keep up with the flow, Heidts has released two new IFS kits for the 1964-1970 Mustang, and both are at a lower price point than the original kits.

Coming off the success of the PRO-G suspension kits, the new Mustang II and Superide II kits are upgraded versions of the previous kits, with a choice of crossmembers for specific engine fitment.

Each kit includes the new crossmember that allows for easier installation and better fitment of early Ford mills, like the 289, 351, 390, and 4.6L engines. For those who chose to go the Coyote path, a new crossmember specifically for Coyote and mod motors can be ordered with the kit.

The Superide II kits include billet, adjustable coilover shocks and 11-inch rotors with Wilwood 4-piston calipers. Both kits include 2-inch drop spindles, and have brake rotor/caliper upgrades up to Wilwood 6-pistion calipers. There are other options you can choose from, which includes caliper color, control arm style, and power rack & pinion steering.
