Holley is proud to announce the release of Hooker’s LS swap system for ’68-’72 GM A-Bodies. This system makes it easy to drop an LS engine into the popular GM A-Body platform.

Official Release:

GM’s ’68-’72 A-Body platform produced many of the most iconic muscle cars of all-time from Chevrolet, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, and Buick. When those cars rolled off of the assembly line, they were powered by all types of engines including 6-cylinders and both small & big block V8s. However, if you want to bring your A-Body into the 21st century, GM’s LS series of engines are right at home between the shock towers as well.

Hooker’s LS swap products are platform designed for drop-in fitment while maintaining proper driveline angles for optimal performance. The Hooker swap system is comprised of engine mounts that place the engine either in the stock location or in a forward position, a transmission crossmember, and transmission mount adapter kits for either 4L60E transmissions or TH400 & 200R-4 transmissions.

The Hooker BlackHeart team designed midlength and longtube headers that mate up to a BlackHeart exhaust system. Both midlength and longtube headers are available with 3″ primaries and either 1 3/4″ or 1 7/8″ primaries. These headers mate perfectly with the matching BlackHeart exhaust systems that are available in either 2.5″ or 3″ diameters. Hooker offers the necessary adapter pipes to use their midlength headers, to transition from 3″ to 2.5″ to use the 2.5″ exhaust system, and even to use Hooker’s LS swap cast iron exhaust manifolds with the BlackHeart exhaust system. With midlength and longtube headers, the exhaust system is routed more closely to the starter. Hooker has engineered a solution for that as well. An available starter heatshield means that Hooker thought of every detail so you don’t have to for your ’68-’72 A-Body LS swap.

Features:

  • Drop-in fitment
  • Maintains proper driveline angles for optimal performance
  • Available with both midlength and longtube headers
