Ringbrothers’ Billet Trunk Hinges for 1965-68 Mustangs

hinge2Mike and Jim Ring have been making waves in the custom car world for years now, devoting a great deal of their incredible efforts toward the Mustang. Some of these cool projects include the 1970 “Dragon” and 2013 “Switchback.” Now you can have add some Ringbrothers cred to your own ride with their new billet hinges for the 1965-68 Mustang.

Official Release:

Custom car builders Mike and Jim Ring have built some of the most stunning and award winning custom Ford Mustangs in history, from the bright orange 1965 “Producer” to the stealthy grey 1966 “Bailout” fastback. While the Rings only build a handful of custom cars per year due to the thousands of hours that go into hand-fabricating every component, now every Mustang can have the Ringbrothers look every time you pop the deck lid with their new line of billet trunk hinges. These are not standard hinges – each set is beautifully designed with incredible attention to detail and best-in-class craftsmanship and are made in the USA.

A direct replacement for stock trunk hinges, these bespoke billet hinges are machined from aerospace grade 6061-T6 aluminum for an impressive look and a solid feel. Ringbrothers trunk hinges are available in both solid and air frame configurations and Natural Machine or Black Anodized finishes. Both models are designed for fiberglass or steel deck lids with an integrated gas strut to hold the lid up, and no modifications are necessary for installation. All installation hardware and instructions are included.

“Mustang owners are always looking for that extra touch to set their car apart from the crowd,” said Ringbrothers co-owner, Mike Ring. “Our billet hinges look fantastic and the fit and finish is unmatched. Our customers expect serious attention to detail and you can see it in every Ringbrothers accessory.”

Features:

  • Hinges are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum
  • Available in solid and air frame configuration, and Natural Machine or Black Anodized finishes
  • Both models work with either fiberglass or steel deck lids
