SEMA 2015: LS Engine Swap In A Box Kits From Hedman Performance

We all know how difficult it is to piece together all of the parts for a performance build — and so does the team at the Hedman Performance Group.

That’s why they’ve created their LS Swap In A Box lineup of engine swap kits, designed to simplify the process for many enthusiasts looking to install an LS engine swap into their current vehicle.

“This is a suite of products that we’ve put together from all of the Hedman Group manufacturers. Headers are from Hedman, Hamburger’s Performance supplies the oil pan, and then Trans-Dapt supplies engine and transmission products. Each one of these companies is a specialist in their own line,” says Hedman’s Marc Lewis.

This year, the company has decided to take all of these products and put them into kit form to simplify the end-user’s experience.

There are kits available for many different applications; the LS kit for 1967-72 C10 pickup, for example, includes a set of mid-length headers, an oil pan for an LS that moves the oil pan sump into the rear so that it will clear obstructions in the engine compartment, and motor mounts — including bolts — and a transmission crossmember specific to manual or automatic transmission. The oil pan kit even includes the correct pickup for the application.

As of now, there are LS Swap kits for first-gen Camaros, 1968-74 X-Body, second-gen F-body, 1973-87 C10 trucks, and even a kit for 1964-67 A-bodies. It’s a good time to be an LS enthusiast.
