Once the snow leaves the countryside in Russia, there’s a lot of people that have been cooped up with short days, long nights and too much vodka. Under those conditions, Spring celebrations certainly can’t wait for May Day, so any creative outlet is certain to be exploited.

Our case in point is this quartet of automotive enthusiasts who apparently cannot wait for organized drag racing to begin. In this case, the “muscle” in muscle car is quite real… organic, if you will. Pulling wheelies is literally a matter of pulling up the front wheels of this unidentified coupe.

Can you spot the technology that has been used to turn this car into an impressive racer? Well, first much of the glass has been removed to save weight. There’s also the low rate springs in the back to facilitate weight transfer. It’s a good thing their town seems small enough not to have traffic enforcement. Actually, it seems small enough not to have spectators, either.

Anyway, who are we to sit in smug judgment of others’ automotive entertainment? The same thing is probably going on right now in eastern Kentucky or western Georgia.
