Ron Duncan at Classic Performance Products showed us a couple of new products, but one that stood out to us in particular was their new adjustable combination valve for brake systems. This billet aluminum management system consolidates several different brake components into one cohesive housing. Below you’ll find some of the product’s highlights:
- Externally adjustable: set and adjust your font and rear brake bias from the master, not beneath the vehicle.
- No more plumbing nightmares: the correct fitting ports eliminate the need for adapters; plumbs directly to existing master cylinder fittings or custom applications.
- Built-in metering valve: improves overall braking stability.
- Two-pound residual valve: no more externally-plumbed check valves.
- Integrated brake light switch provision.
- Available units ported for single or dual front brake lines.
Duncan explained, “This unit also includes a place for the brake light switch. For the rod guys that don’t have a spot for that switch we’ve consolidated that along with everything else into this brake management valve. We offer a unit for early models–’66 and prior, and later model muscle applications–’67 and up.”
According to Duncan, the retail value for this product will be $79.00. This is a great and convenient management package that looks clean, but doesn’t detract from the rest of the product.
Duncan closed by saying, “The thing about these combo valves is that they’re really universal. They can be used on just about any application from early street rods to muscle cars. It will work for disc brakes in front, or four-wheel disc brake setups.
More information on the adjustable combination valve will be going up on Classic Performance Products’ website in the next few weeks. Stay tuned, and if you’re a stickler about tidying up your ride, this product will be worth looking into.
