We sometimes still find it amazing how fast the aftermarket can develop parts for the latest vehicles. Take for example, the new 2011 Challenger SRT8. The updated 392ci version has only been out for a couple of months and already ProCharger is in the final stages of developing one of their air-to-air intercooled supercharger systems for the car.
In fact, ProCharger is already claiming that the same kit will work on the upcoming 2012 SRT8 Charger as well, since it will be propelled with the same 6.4L HEMI engine as its Challenger stablemate.
Out of the box the new 6.4L HEMI Challenger produces 470HP and 470FTLBS, and we have to admit that’s pretty impressive, especially compared to the output the old 6.1L. But like how any proper hot-rodder thinks, “more is never enough,” and of course, that’s where our friends at ProCharger come in.
At this stage in the development process, we are unable to reveal any final numbers as to how much more power the folks at ProCharger were able to tickle out of the new 392, but as you can see from the pictures provided, we should have the results in very soon! Once we have some answers, we’ll make sure you guys will be to first to know!
