Traditionally, we Americans are the ones lamenting all the killer hardware that the Europeans get that we don’t. Cars like the 560 horsepower Audi RS6 Avant, the supercharged Ford Falcon XR8, and the Holden Ute SS, which is essentially an SS El Camino, are available on the other side of the Atlantic but are forbidden fruit for us Yanks.
Chrysler products, especially the dimensionally wide and long LX platform cars like the Charger, Challenger, and 300, aren’t especially well suited to the needs of European customers, and are typically not for sale over there, though the 300 is rebadged as a low-volume Lancia model. But with the Challenger and Charger Hellcats making headlines across the automotive landscape, it’s not surprising to hear that the gearheads across the pond want a piece of the action too.
Where there’s a will there’s a way, and a company based in Munich, Germany, called GeigerCars, who specializes in importing sought-after American vehicles, has just announced their Challenger Hellcat offering.
The importer apparently saw fit to add some custom touches to the muscle coupe, which appear to include the snazzy “From Hell” graphics package, a body colored strip around the edge of the wheels, and some go-fast badges. Mercifully, it appears they’ve left the mechanicals alone.
So what will it cost the Europeans to get their hands on the current top dog of American muscle cars? A cool 86,000 Euros, or roughly $91,500. For that price, we might consider just having one shipped over on a boat on our own – that is, if we could actually order one right now.
