The Dodge Coronet Super Bee was originally produced as a worthy competitor in the American muscle car market of the late 1960s. They dominated the streets with their fine looks and powerful engine. If you’re looking for a fully restored ’69 Super Bee A12, with a mix of original and quality reproduction parts, you’re in luck- that is if you’re willing to spend over $85,000 for such a gem on eBay.
Original parts included on this Super Bee include date-coded spark plug wires, air cleaner assembly and Prestolite dual point distributor. The majority of this car has been redone with qualified restoration parts.
The engine is a completely rebuilt true ’69 Six-Pack that pushes a hefty 440hp. The only performance part in the engine not included on the original is the added Comp Cam. From the upholstery to the wire looms, correct reproduction components were used.
The person who restored this Super Bee even took the time to reproduce the correct overspray on the undercarriage.
According to the eBay ad, the restoration took three years. Also notable about the car is the fact that it was featured in Mopar Action for their center spread in February of 2007.
This Super Bee is only being offered for sale, not to be bid on. We’re guessing the seller was trying to avoid low-ballers, and rightfully so. A lot of time and effort went into this fine muscle car. We would hate to see someone not do this car justice by offering a price not fit for a queen- a queen bee that is. If you’re interested in the car, the lot is available until May 8th.
