To say the making of a Fast and the Furious feature is tough on the cars used in the movie would be a massive understatement. This clip from Supercompressor brings together all 110 crash scenes from the first six films in one metal twisting, glass breaking, gas tank exploding super clip.

Beyond the entertainment of the sheer craziness unfolding on an ongoing basis, since the clip goes in chronological order across the sequels, it’s also interesting to watch the franchise evolve from film to film, with stunts, builds and locales becoming more and more exotic with each subsequent installment.

The first film worked with a budget of $38 million and we see only a handful of crashes from that one – though we have included the scene where Paul Walker shunts the curb with the front fascia of his F150 Lightning (we’re still not sure if that was actually scripted). Truth be told, the first crash in the film isn’t until near the end of the film when the crew splits from Race Wars to take down a semi.

After the success of the first movie, we see the results right away – the second and third offer up elaborate carnage in their opening scenes. By the sixth film, the budget had swelled to over $160 million, which means we get tanks, cargo planes, runways that are 18 miles long, and some killer vintage iron – much of which perishes, sadly. Still, no harm in celebrating their glorious demises.
