The gold aesthetic is strong with this one. Real talk; when we saw this car popping up around the interwebs, all we could think of was Mike Myers blurting out “I LOVE GOLDDDD” from the old, but popular Austin Powers in Goldmember.

The real question is, if you came across this car for sale for $3.7 million, would you take the ad seriously? Probably not. But the man that built this 2002 Pontiac Trans Am, Ali Naeemi, thinks it’s worth every last penny. Naeemi is an Iranian immigrant residing in Germany, and he spent loads and loads of man hours and money transforming the Trans Am into what it looks like today. Naeemi purchased the car back in 2004 from the ‘States for a whopping $58,500 and started modifying it a few years later.

It wasn’t until 2009 when all of the gold leaf application to the exterior was completed. It must have been a painstaking few years for Naeemi, but it’s all good because he won a tuning award for it in Germany. After Naeemi won the award, he began fully customizing the Trans Am with chrome, rhinestones, and more gold leaf, inside and out. And when we say inside and out, we mean everywhere; the dash, door handles, door jams, center console, etc.

It’s an amazing piece of work for the time and money that was put into it, but it’s just not our style. The selling price is especially not our style, but hey, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right?
