Some of the best hot rods and kustoms are usually an eclectic array of mix and match parts. Usually we build a kustom because none of the manufacturers got it exactly right for our personal tastes and we take matters into our own hands. This is exactly the Ernie Ricard of Alberta, Canada did with his most recent project.
If you absolutely had to classify this truck as one vehicle year and make, it would likely be a 1939 International due to the cab. Though the cab was chopped a full 4.5-inches, it is the largest single chunk that was an official licensed vehicle. The chassis the cab is bolted to is a custom built boxed unit with raised front and rear sections that allow for more room for suspension components.
A 1934 Ford grille breaks through the air as the blown 572 cubic-inch V8 sticks the rubber to the pavement. A three speed Turbo 400 backs the motor and is shifted with a B&M Shifter. A trans brake and Hurst Line lock give the driver even more control. A custom exhaust gets the spent emissions out of the motor. The truck bed is a mid-60s Fargo box that has been shortened as well as narrowed. 1931 Ford Headlight buckets house modern halogen headlights and turn signals that light the way down the road.
There is a ton of detail and randomness into this wicked little kustom. So much so that you need to make sure to stay tuned for more in the very near future.
