Recently sold on eBay, we stumbled across this beautiful kustom we couldn’t just simply brush under the rug. Feast your eyes on this 1952 Chevrolet 3100 Series 5-window truck, which has all the curves to stop everyone in place.
Built by Hale’s Speed Shop in Lewisville, Texas, this sweet truck has the characteristics for both show and go. Peeking under the hood, there’s a Vortec 350 cubic-inch V8 mated with a TH-700R4 automatic tranny.
All this power meets the pavement with a Scott’s Hotrods ’N Customs IFS coupled with a set of QA1 coilovers in the front. Power steering and brakes ensures drivability and adequate stopping power for this candy red Chevy truck.
The rear has a two-link suspension with a panhard rod and Bilstein coilovers. The 12-bolt rearend has 373 gears, which crank the 15-inch chrome steel wheels that the Chevy rolls on.
The wheels are wrapped with BF Goodrich Silvertown radial whitewall tires, giving the truck a vintage touch despite its modern additions beneath the body, under the hood, and inside the pickup.
Heading into the interior, the plush black leather interior helps contrast from the truck’s bright exterior. The all black steering wheel is a nice derivative from the chrome or aluminum finishes we are used to seeing in these classic trucks.
We like the simple aesthetics of this truck, which had our eyes wandering about the kustom inside and out. With only 2,200 miles on the odometer since the kustom build was finished, was the final bid of $32,050.00 worth every cent?
