We’re going to go out on a limb here, but we’re guessing that one of the best things about working for Spectre is the option to take the company car out on the weekends! Plus, no-one can deny that there’s something pretty cool about a girl that can drive fast. This video was taken recently at the 2011 Columbus GoodGuys Show and features Brandy Morrow from Spectre.
With autocrossing superstar Brian Finch riding shotgun Brandy laid down the fastest run on Saturday to win the vendor class of the autocross. Competition there was fierce, but in the end no one could touch Brandy in the wide fender flare ’70 Camaro! The video includes interior footage of the run as well.
This particular car uses a combination of Hotchkis and Detroit Speed and Engineering suspension components, Baer brakes, Forgeline wheels and Kuhmo tires. The wide fender flares are an obvious tribute to 1970’s era Trans Am racing and allow the use of some fairly wide meats. Campbell Auto Restoration swapped out the original motor for an LS1, which was pushed back 1.75”.
It wears Patriot headers and a few Spectre goodies as well in the form of the Spectre cold air intake and HPR filter, and the full combination produces a very controllable 410 horse power to the rear wheels and 400 foot pounds of torque.
