Spotted on Ebay, we found a curvaceous classic that needs some sprucing up. Behold, this 1959 Jaguar XK150 fixed head coupe that is out of commission, but has still held its stellar looks up until today.
The owner has mentioned that it does not run or drive, thus requiring total restoration from the ground up. The detailed shots include the condition of the exterior, interior, and undercarriage.
The exterior looks to be in decent shape with its stellar paint job and slightly rusty chrome accessories. Purchased from an estate and owned by the same family for over 30 years, this luxurious Jag needs plenty of work to make it shine and purr like it did in its prime.
The engine is a 3.4-liter inline six-cylinder mill mated to a manual tranny, which both unfortunately are not operational. Only being in production from 1957 to 1961, this Jaguar sports car came in limited production quantities.
This Jag may not be the beauty it once was, but with a bit of effort and a hefty wallet, one can bring this sports car back to drivable specifications. Its bright paint color will be sure to turn heads on the streets.
Whether this is an original paint color from Jaguar or not, this coupe has the potential to be a slick custom with the proper design choices. However, we’d like to focus first on restoring the interior and undercarriage, which have been beat by the natural elements.
The interior is torn and ravaged as the undercarriage is adorned with plenty of rusted components. This may not be a cheap restoration project, but it could be well worth it when all is said and done. What are your thoughts? Is it worth the time and effort? Be sure to comment below.
