Whether it was built for looks or not, this custom is simply astonishing and extraordinary in its own right. Spotted on Hemmings, check out this 1934 Ford named ‘Panther’ that has some serious power up front. Literally.
Located in Marco Island, Florida, this Ford, which is a frankenstein build of sorts, this 24-cylinder monster runs on three Chevy small-block 350 cubic-inch V8 mills. Sure it may have a high asking price, but we’re here to discuss the car’s custom craftsmanship.
We wonder how this custom drives given its long proportions as well as how responsive it is when the pedal hits the floor. If this were a cartoon, it is as if this Ford was heated and stretched.
Interestingly, despite boasting three mills, only the front and rear engine produce power for the Ford as the middle block serves as a component of the custom’s complex cooling system. Whether this has seen shows or solely stayed out of the spotlight, this is a serious engineering marvel.
It has an air of elegance behind it even though it has plenty of power to make it an aggressor. The custom’s fiberglass shell is accompanied by some polished stainless steel, helping to spread out the visual continuity of this long proportioned custom Ford.
Into greater detail, the various engine components are unique as well as the valve covers, which have Panther etched into each respectively. Is it a hot rod? Is it a street rod? Call it what you want, but this isn’t your typical 30s Ford.
We’re tipping our hats to this build as it looks like a car straight out of The League of Extraordinary Gentleman. What are your thoughts on this custom Ford? Is it overkill and would you drive it? Let us know in the comments below.
