Have you ever wanted your car in an automotive parts catalog? Well here is your chance! MSD Ignition is currently working on their 2012 catalog and they want to feature some customer cars in its pages. Submitting your vehicle for consideration is easy and can be done all online.
There are only a few steps/requirements for you to have your ride considered for the pages of the MSD catalog. You must first own the rights to the image of your vehicle. You can’t use images that are copyrighted by a photography company or images that were taken by someone else who has not given you permission to use them how you want.
The image that you submit must be 1 Megabyte or larger so that image quality is not compromised if the photo is resized. Most importantly, the picture has to be a good quality image of a really cool automobile- which we know you’ve got covered! To submit a picture of your ride, MSD is asking that the image be uploaded to their Facebook page.
Many hopefuls have already posted their vehicles up on the page, and we must say, we’re kind of surprised at the vast array of vehicle submissions. We weren’t surprised that people were submitting images of performance muscle cars, but the Volkswagens and four-wheeling trucks caught us a bit off guard. However, MSD does have products for all kinds of vehicles, so we’re glad to see that people with vehicles other than muscle cars are being represented.
The photo submission for the catalog just started a couple days ago, so you should have plenty of time to submit your photos if you’d like. Photo submissions must be posted by August 26th for consideration. Submission winners will be notified and must email MSD a full-size image by September 2nd so that it can be included in the catalog, which goes to print on September 15th.
