Roush Yates chooses DynoJet to be its Official Chassis Dyno

The Roush name is often most closely associated with the Roush modified Mustangs that made the name famous with many enthusiasts in my mind. The name is also closely associated with the Roush Yates NASCAR effort as well. The company has announced that it has chosen DynoJet as the official chassis dyno for its operations for testing everything from production vehicles to racecars. The dyno that Roush Yates will be using is the 224xLC2 and there is also a model 248 dyno on the premises as well.

The new Dynojet 224xLC2 has the ability to measure up to 2,000 hp at the rear wheels and torque up to 4,000 ft-lbs. The dyno can also be used to test diesel vehicles and has the ability to use analyze road control to simulate real road conditions for aerodynamics, hills, and more. Roush Yates has used Dynojet dynos to test its NASCAR racers for years and it will also offer custom tuning for customer vehicles using the dyno.

“Dynojet is a great company and universally respected in the performance industry,” said Jeff Paxton, dyno operations director. “Our companies are a great fit as Roush Yates continues to expand its array of product and service offerings. Having in-house, publicly accessible chassis dynamometers is a necessity for Roush Yates Performance as it looks to grow and become the industry leader for virtually any performance solution.”

“The market Roush Yates looks to serve will have quite a wide range of customers who can receive benefit from our dual Dynojets,” he said. “We’re here to serve anywhere from those persons who just purchased a new Camaro or Mustang , ultra-high-performance luxury car owners, amateur racers, classic street rod and muscle car owners, and, of course, any car competing in any form of racing.”
