When was the last time you found a decent interior trim panel at a wrecking yard? How about seats? We’ve always said that the problem with finding used parts is that you already have used parts and there’s no guarantee that the parts you find will be as good – or better – than the parts you already have. Try to find interior parts and those slim to none chances diminish rapidly.
That’s where Legendary Auto Interiors is here to help. With complete replacement trim panels, seats, and interior trim parts, you can get your car looking as good on the inside as you’ve made it look on the outside.
We checked to see what was new at SEMA and center stage was a revolving display of bucket seats. Legendary’s Chief Operating Officer, Brian Ridley, told us, “We’ve been getting a lot of calls for Mopar C-body seats, these cars are starting to get popular again.”
The big-bodied cars are gaining momentum as prices for the A-, B-, and E-body cars have been climbing the past few years. So Legendary took the plunge and turned out some great examples and brought them along to SEMA.
Also new this year at SEMA, Ridley showed us the new Yanko Nova door trim panels. We asked about them, as they were merely a sticker put on the panel, and Ridley told us an interesting story.
He said, “Back then, there weren’t any real measurements taken, because Don had the stickers installed by teenagers at times, so the stickers could be located just about anywhere on the panel. We have a guy who has a Yenko Nova, so we basically took measurements on his car and that’s where we placed the sticker.” You gotta love the simpler times when all that mattered was mashing the gas, not spacing a sticker!
