Some of the industry’s finest are getting set to stage an awesome opportunity for some serious seat-time on October 14-16th, 2011. It’s open to novice drivers and even veterans alike. This isn’t just an “open” track day. Its aim is to provide direct instruction from the pro’s to those of us who are a slightly timid to the idea of full-course racing.
If you’ve wanted to get into the action but either just haven’t had the time, funds, or were a bit intimidated by the whole idea of racing, this is the event designed for you! Detroit Speed, Inc. & Jet-Hot LLC are presenting the Inaugural “Get Started Racing” Autocross School. It’s three full days of instruction, tech inspections, and driver training drills. Finally, the track will be open for full-course operation and autocross laps. Better yet, It’s all being held at the Virginia International Raceway (VIR).
The cost for participating is $200 for the entire event. So, what’s included? Well as we mentioned before, it includes a hands-on tech inspection, comprehensive instruction relative to safety, vehicle dynamics and driver skill training. What’s more, prior to the driver instruction, Jet-Hot LLC has opened up their facility for the participants on Friday afternoon. There, lunch will be hosted. What are you waiting, for?
