While we’re usually into our muscle cars, classics and sports cars here at powerTV, we also have an eye for strange vehicles that cross our path now and again. But why are we interested in Neons? Well, when you put 150 of these four-bangers together and advertise them for sale in Singapore, they become a bit more interesting, especially since they currently sit with no miles on the odometer, according to Autoblog.
The ‘97 right-hand drive Chrysler Neons are being sold by Arete Trading Pte. Ltd. in Singapore for $1,350, a price comparable to what you’d pay for a very well used version of the 14-year-old cars. Now, you’re probably thinking that Chrysler Neon doesn’t seem quite right and you’d be correct for the American market. Here, Dodge and Plymouth have owned the rights to the Neon name. However, the right-hand drive version of the car was bannered under the Chrysler name in other markets, making these cars even more interesting.
It is uncertain where the cars came from or why there are 150 of them with zero miles, but with a bit of work and a good ‘ole wash, they should be pretty good cars for buyers. While the price is cheap and you’d have a number of different colors to choose from, we doubt it’d be worth trying to import one of the Neons into the states. You’d probably end up paying well more than what the cars are worth just getting one here.
So if importing one isn’t a good idea, what about all 150 of them? While the cars are available singly, it’s fun to think about what you could do if you had the whole lot of them. Autoblog threw around the idea of buying them all and driving a new one every day for 150 days while Motor Authority threw around the idea of having one hell of a one-make race. What would you do with the 150 no-miles Neons?
