It isn’t every day you get to drive down the infamous Pacific Coast Highway (PCH); California State Route 1. It’s well-known for running along some of the most beautiful coastlines in the world, leading to its designation as an All-American road. Moreover, it’s not very often you get to see a supercharged 16-plug, 1,000hp trike either.

Cotterill's always been known to enjoy inventive methods of transportation. Shown here in his native England, Cotterill cruises around on his motorized bar stool.
Needless to say, we were more than intrigued and did a little digging. We had to know more about this three-wheeling menace to asphalt. Of course, it was all in the name of necessary automotive research. So, what did we discover?
Ladies and gents, meet Tim “Frogman” Cotterill and “Rocket II.” Cotterill’s known for making some of the worlds most famous bronze sculptures. He’s an artist and sculpture by trade and it only seemed fitting to send his designs to the Blastolene Brothers. Hence, “Rocket II.”
Cotterill’s “Rocket II” is powered by a dual-plug HEMI squeezed by an 8-71 BDS Supercharger. In essence, one very big, hairy bolt-on. Cotterill’s adamant that it’ll easily break the rear hides loose at 60mph.
From the looks of the video, the radiator seems hidden in the front nose section and even sports independent rear suspension with what looks like a springer front-end. Transmission duties rely on a Torqueflite 3-speed automatic transmission. The front wheel took ten full days of machining and began as one solid chunk of aluminum and sports center-hub steering to keep components on track and low.
Guess what, it’s completely street legal, too! We’ve even got some video of this thing in action.
