If we know anything here, it’s that the team over at Goodguys knows how to throw a party. This year’s PPG Nationals, coming up in July, is said to be bringing in over 6,500 hot rods, customs, classics, muscle cars, and trucks.

As with most Goodguys events, the weekend will be jam packed with awesome stuff to do, most notably featuring Spectre Performance’s American-made or -powered “All American Sunday, Summer Shootout” Autocross sessions, a burnout competition, swap meet, constant live music, and plenty, plenty more.

2019 marks the 22nd iteration of the famous PPG Nationals event – but there’s a bit more of an iconic anniversary to celebrate at the show this year: the ’69 Camaro.

It’s been around for 50 years. It stole the hearts of many back in its day, and continues to now. There’s no doubt that the Camaro is one of the most (if not the most) popular muscle cars in the world, and the 1969 model year just embodies everything one could love about it. From the sleek fender lines, to the rear gills, the Camaro is so musclular, you can probably find some veins popping out on it.

This is why Goodguys is showing their appreciation by featuring a major show section, dubbed “the Summer of ’69,” with a specific focus on the Chevrolet Camaro. But, this isn’t going to be just another normal section of the show–they’re in search of the most badass, most notable Camaro’s in existence.

Social media has exploded with enthusiasts searching to help find the best vehicles to tell the Camaro’s story – and some great examples have been popping up already, months in advance.

Looking to showcase a wide spectrum of vehicles, they’ve already got plenty on the list,  from ultra-rare COPOs and Yenkos, to full-on custom builds. So far, we know that Big Red, Mark Stielow’s pro-touring creation, the Goodguys G/RS, and past Street Machine of the Year winners will be taking part.

We are looking for the best ’69 Camaro’s in the world.

The chosen vehicles are being hand-selected based on their part in the significance in the Camaro’s history. Goodguys says that the applications to be featured are continuing to flood in, but they are still accepting more, and want more! So, if you or anyone you know has a ’69 Camaro with a great story behind it, reach out.
