FAST’s new EZ-EFI 2.0 comes with a lot of great new features to help make the system both easier to use and more tuneable for your application. The carb-replacement system can handle up to 1200 horsepower, nitrous systems and works with either a return or a returnless fuel system. Plus, a color touch screen and self-tuning capabilities means riding around with a laptop in the passenger seat is no longer an annoying part of your life.
But bullet points on the box are a lot different than actually seeing something in action. That’s why we were excited when Hot Rod Magazine’s David Freiburger installed a new FAST EZ-EFI 2.0 system on his Hemi-powered Dodge Super Bee. If there was ever a challenge for a carburetor replacement EFI system Freiburger’s Super Bee would be it. It has a custom engine with non-stock components, plumbing and wiring; it’s pushing 600 horsepower and Freiburger plans to keep the nitrous system.
The video below is very helpful for anyone that might be looking into EFI systems in general, or installing an EZ-EFI system in particular. Freiburger walks us step-by-step through the process, showing how the system hooks up to his car and also showing other options for different setups. One of the coolest features is the color touch screen that provides a ton of information, looks great and makes tuning a snap.
Overall, it appears that the EZ-EFI 2.0 fuel injection system installed wihtou a hiccup, and the best part is hearing those 600 horses rumbing as Freiburger takes the Super Bee out for its maiden voyage with its new fuel injection system in place.
