Hot rod burnouts are really nothing new. We find and post videos some really cool videos here of all manner of hot rods and customs doing burnouts. Big smokey burnouts with fat and skinny tires alike. However, we seldom see a video of a custom Cadillac out smoking the hides. That is – until we saw this video.
This 1941 Cadillac was built by Tucci Hot Rods in Marcy, New York and it’s riding on a completely custom-built frame. What’s even cooler though is that they kept the powertrain all Cadillac. The entire driveline was pulled from a Cadillac XLR-V. This donor powertrain consists of the supercharged 4.4 Liter Northstar making 443 hp. They also pulled and installed the entire XLR-V’ transaxle assembly, which allows the ’41 to have fully independent rear suspension.
Front suspension is also fully independent and coilovers provide the damping all the way around. The car’s body has also received extensive modification to allow it to fit the on the custom-built frame.
We also noticed that the hood has been shortened and the grille has been laid back, giving the whole car a faster and sleeker appearence. The grille itself is also a custom-built piece. All of this work on the grille also necessitated reworking the front fenders and hood, both of which were altered to allow for the customization.
The car sounds pretty wild in the video, with the roar of the exhaust combing with the whale from the supercharger. Enjoy your burnout fix for the day.
