Billet Specialties Trick Street Rod Rectangle Gas Pedal

Loud pedal, go pedal, skinny stick or just plain old accelerator. No matter what you call it, the gas pedal is one of those important interior component that needs to precise and functional. For hot rodders, it’s not enough to be functional, it has to look like it belongs in a street rod. We found just the thing when we were doing some window shopping while surfing the net.

Billet Specialties, a longtime favorite of ours for manufacturing some really bitchen’ hot rod wheels, has an entire line of interior components for street rods. Our guys knew that but it had been a while since we had checked that portion of the catalog out. Checking over the line of interior goodies, we spied the street rod gas pedal and wondered why this wasn’t already on our project cars. Their Street rod rectangle gas pedal was exactly what we had in mind.

Not wanting to bogart all the good stuff to ourselves, we decided to share the skinny with our faithful readers. By the way, skinny is an old term that was used to refer to information, rumors, scoop or skuttlebutt.

Here’s the skinny on Billet Specialties Street Rod Rectangle Gas Pedal:

  • Wider pivot base for added stability
  • Spring loaded pedal
  • Stainless hardware
  • 1:1 pedal ratio – works with all carburetors
  • Dual Delrin bushings for smooth low friction operation
  • Base offers left of right mounting positions
  • Reversible pedal arm for extra floor clearance
  • CNC machined non-slip surface
So if we read this right, it’s a very stable gas pedal that offers a natural feel and is spring loaded. It can be mounting virtually anywhere and fit in any space, no matter how confined, and it is smooth in both operation and looks. This well engineered go pedal is just what we need to go low and slow or floor it and go flat out. Just what we were looking for.
Next time you are daydreaming about what you would change with your rod, take a look at Billet Specialties online catalog.
