The Cranksters are a car club native to Victoria, Australia and as you can see from their promo video above, these guys are a pack of jolly hooligans with a love for old rods and bringing the community together. It’s way cool to see this sort of hot rod love and tradition taking place world wide.
Cranksters Cruise Nagambie 2013
The Cranksters Cruise will be taking place at the Nagambie Lakes Leisure Park. Nagambie is a small town with a population of little over 1,000 situated in Victoria, Australia. The town is home to a bustling community of wine makers, the Goulburn Valley Vintage Festival, and the Shiraz challenge each year.
Nagambie Lake lies at the heart of the town and plays host to regular waterskiing tournaments. The view of row boats gliding across the water and shady trees dotting the shore will surely be a beautiful back drop for anyone hoping to shoot some pictures during the event.
The cruise is scheduled for the weekend of September 13th through the 15th. Vehicle entry is $10.00 and you can download the entry from here. Friday night will kick off with a registration party and Saturday, the Cranksters will be leading a run to a mystery destination. Saturday night they’ll be breaking out the tiki torches and lei for the Luau party and Hawaiian feast. Sunday will be the big event – The Chrome Bumper Show and Shine.
The whole gig doubles as a charity auction as well, so it’s more than just a chance to come out and have a good time. Proceeds will be raised for Camp Quality, an organization dedicated to families with children diagnosed with cancer. These are a couple old timers with some down home spirit and pretty slick right-hand drives who are out there doing some good and spreading the love of the automobile!
