Next up on the Goodguys event itinerary – the 20th Southeastern Nationals which will be held at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. The event is scheduled for the weekend of October 25-27. Just the right thing to foreshadow Halloween for those who live in the area or plan to be in the locale during that weekend. Read on for detailed event information below.

Charlotte Motor Speedway is located at 5555 Concord Parkway South Concord, NC 28027. For a facility map check out the printable PDF here. Preparation is key to ensure the best time possible at events as large scale as the ones the folks at Goodguys put on!

Event hours are as follows:

• Friday October 25 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Saturday October 26 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

General admission for the event will be $18.00 for ages 13 and up. Kids admission will be $6.00 for children 7 to 12 and kids 6 and under get in free. Spectator parking for the event will be $5.00. One of the great things about Goodguys events is their consistency across the country. You can expect special events during the weekend that we’ve all come to know and love such as: 

All American Sunday where “Goodguys opens its arms to late model American made and/or powered vehicles of ALL YEARS.”

The awesome and exciting Goodguys AutoCross which provides registered participants the opportunity to put their street rods, trucks, and muscle through a detailed course that tests a vehicle’s limits and capabilities. All participants are timed and a winner from each class – street rod, truck, and street machine, will have the opportunity to take home an award and gift certificates from sponsors.

The schedule for AutoCross during the Southeastern Nats is as follows:

• Friday 9:00 a.m. – Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Saturday 9:00 a.m. – Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Along with these two Goodguys event traditions next week’s event will also include a cruise along the Charlotte Motor Speedway, NASCAR stock car rides, vendors and manufacturer exhibits, the Goodguys Swap Meet and Cars 4 Sale Corral, live music, Goodgals Arts and Crafts Gallery, and for the kids, the Make n’ Take program as well as the model and pedal car show.

Special Awards For The Event

During the Southeastern Nats, the following special awards will be chosen: the 2014 Truck of the Year “Late Finalist”, 2014 Muscle Car of the Year Finalist, 2014 Muscle Machine of the Year Finalist, PPG Dream Car, Builder’s Choice Awards by Kyle Tucker of Detroit Speed, Goodguys Pick, and the Street Rodder Top 100 event.
