Show Stopping ’57 Chrysler 300-C Presented By RK Motors

The 1950s era was the dawn of many innovations for the United States. High on a euphoric can-do attitude after World War II, American’s were pouring out ingenuity left and right for years to come. Chrysler was solidifying themselves as a top notch vehicle manufacturer with some of its best designs in chassis and engines. In 1956, Chrysler debuted the 300-C and the combination took the world by storm.

The tan leather interior is accented by period correct modern gauges, cushioned dash and premium black carpeting.

RK Motors, of Charlotte, North Carolina currently has for sale an absolute premium specimen of “America’s highest-performing automobile”, as marketed by Chrysler. This jet-black 1957 300-C was painstakingly restored to its all original condition. Appearing to have just rolled off the dealer lot, every bit of this car is era correct. A 392ci FirePower Hemi engine cranks out an incredible 375 horsepower and 420 lb./ft. of torque. This engine helped gain the model some impressive records, averaging 145.7 miles per hour at the Chelsea Proving Grounds, snagging the unofficial stock car record, and then later winning the Flying Mile at Daytona with a top speed of 134 miles per hour.

Being 1 of 484 made in 1957, the convertible just exudes class and luxury. Multiple red, white, and blue “300” emblems are scattered tastefully throughout the vehicle without being overdone. A push button original Torqueflite transmission feeds power to an 8-3/4 rear differential; 14” rims wrapped in Goodyear Silvertown Whitewalls provide the grip.

Screaming luxury and power the Hemi-powered 1957 Chrysler 300-C was and is a top of the line American automobile.

Inside, the cushioned dash and black carpet provide contrast to the tri-tone tan interior fabric and leather. Period correct power windows, a rare Highway Hi-Fi record player and modern instrumentation all bear witness to Chrysler’s ingenuity.

The combination of the styling and class of the 300-C and the ultra-powerful Hemi helped Chrysler emerge as a true American luxury performance car builder.
