For the 38th year running, the National Street Rod Association (NSRA) will be hosting the Western Street Rod Nationals. More than 2,000 hot rods, pick-ups, customs, and vintage steel will be lining up at Kern County Fairgrounds in Bakersfield, California on April 25th through 27th.
Open to vehicles 30 years or older, the Western Street Rod Nationals will no doubt be loaded with amazing machinery at every turn. Pre-1949 modernized street rods will be lined up next to high horsepower muscle cars and 50s classics scattered in between. Loading up the majority of the Kern County Fairgrounds for the 28th year straight, this show is definitely the biggest in the area.
Representing the entire western United States, cars from miles and states around will be competing for top awards and a chance to get their car put on display in the “Circle of Winners” on Sunday. NSRA will be hosting the Super Prize Program once again for registered participants, giving away more than $72,000 worth of merchandise as well as three drawings for $3,000 cash each.
Vendors from all over the country will be displaying products and projects. Companies like Borgeson, Coker Tire, and Lokar are just a few of the 80+ vendors that will be showing off their specialty automotive equipment, products, and accessories.
While the husbands and boyfriends are off drooling over wicked customs and amazing products, the craftier side of the relationship will have “Women’s World” to occupy themselves. It’s entirely possible the car show may just be a cover up to keep the boys busy while the ladies enjoy the Arts and Crafts show without disruption. Regardless, this is a can’t-miss event.
