If you’re looking for a show full of eclectic vehicles to top off your 2014 show season tour, you should mark your calendars for the 9th annual Redneck Rumble show in Lebanon, Tennessee coming up next month. Sure to bring out hundreds of tail-draggers, rat rods, lead sleds, vintage bikes, hot rods, and rusty relics, this is a show that shouldn’t be missed!
“The annual Redneck Rumble is set to take place at the James Ward Ag Center in Lebanon, TN September 19th and 20th, with vendor and vehicle setup taking place all day Friday prior to the evening cruise and the official show taking place on Saturday”, according to Scooter’s Blog. The weekend will also bring about a swap meet and even a demolition derby on Saturday night with on-site camping available for the weekend.
Like any good show sporting “Redneck” in the title, The Redneck Rumble brings out hundreds of hillbilly, backwoods, and rustic rides that you’d otherwise not see at a car show whose regular mill are street rods and classics with updates amenities.
While some enthusiasts may scoff at the idea of a show dedicated to the rusted relics of factory vehicles this show dotes on, there’s certainly an appeal to the less uppity atmosphere this show brings to town.
Last year when we visited The Redneck Rumble show, we couldn’t help but gawk in awe at the craftsmanship that went into the couple thousand vehicles on hand, even if it was that of Mother Nature in creating the perfect vintage patina. With fans of the derelict, rat rod, and patinated rides growing in leaps and bounds, we’re sure this year’s show will be filled even more with unique rides.
If you’d like to participate in The Redneck Rumble, coming up next month, show vehicle tickets will cost you $25, spectator tickets $15 (including the demolition derby) and demolition derby-only tickets $5. Show vehicles are limited to pre-1968 models. For information on area hotels, be sure to check out Scooter’s Blog here.
