It’s back! Yes, we’re talking about SEMA – the long-awaited annual aftermarket trade show is right around the corner again and Goodguys will be giving out GOLD Awards for the second consecutive year in a row to their top five favorite builds.
All American made or American powered exhibit vehicles, regardless of year, make or model will be eligible for a Goodguys GOLD Award, the vehicle just needs a Goodguys sticker on the windshield. The five winners will be announced on Wednesday, November 4th, at 2:00 p.m. at the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association booth in Hot Rod Alley. For those of you not familiar with the award, it is a billet anodized-gold bar inlaid into what looks like a bed of granite, and it’s probably pretty heavy, too.
Last year, all of the five winners’ builds were immaculate, but then you have to think – if it’s Goodguys giving out the award, then it has to be insanely cherry, just look at the cars featured in their Goodtimes Gazette! We’re really excited for this year’s SEMA show and not only because we want to see who’s going to win these awards, but to see all of the innovative new products and the builds they’re used on.
Goodguys’ VP of Event Operations, Harry Davies, will be on hand beginning Saturday, November 1st, to make sure all exhibiting vehicles get handed a Goodguys decal upon roll-in, so be sure to get your windshield sticker if you’re trying to win one of their GOLD Awards!
