We stopped by Gennie Shifter’s booth this year to see what they had in store for those looking to round out their transmissions. The folks at Gennie Shifter have done an amazing job growing their line of shifter products, especially for those running automatics. If you’ve found yourself pounding your head looking for an aggressive looking shifter to set off your hot rod or kustom’s automatic transmission, their Commander Series is a dream come true.
Loc Briggs of Gennie Shifter gave us the lowdown on what the company has been up to as of late, “Our featured product for the year is the Commander Series of shift sticks. As with all our products, these are made in-house at our headquarters in Denver, Colorado. Newest to the Commander Series is the “Swan” shift stick. The double bend “Swan” is the king of the Commander Series.”
These are beautiful shifters that offer some bold aesthetic appeal. The line also includes shift stick lengths that come in 6-inch, 8-inch, 10-inch, and 12-inch to cater to a wide array of tastes. The milled design provides weight-reduction and an aggressive look. That coupled with the polished throttle arm contrasted by the blasted webbing give this product an equal dose of class and ruggedness.
Seeing the 12-inch Commander shift stick and the Commander up-right hand brakes had us drooling. The up-right hand brakes are offered in two different lengths, 11-inch to pair well with the shorter sticks and 16-inch to combine with the “Swan” shift-stick for a truly intimidating combo.
