Hot rod culture or Kustom Kulture stretches not only through the United States but also abroad. All the way in New Zealand, HotRod Revue brings us their iteration of hot rod culture in the southwest pacific.
This video episode highlights the organizers of Chopped, a three day festival in Australia that features dirt drag racing, live music from more than 25 bands, hot rods, customs, beers, cocktails, choppers, bobbers, trucks, and a vintage speedway. With so much that’s planned to happen, we are sure the turn out will be just as great as last year.
What began as a small event in 2008, the Chopped event has tripled in size due to its popularity and buzz on the web. As a result of the growing attendance each year, the organizers of Chopped have been able to develop a dirt race course, dirt drag strip, and a slew of rock bands to perform live at the event.
Heck, there’s even a ring of fire for a cyclist to jump through. There is so much adrenaline pumping from our veins just watching this video and we couldn’t be more excited.
With punk rockers, rat rods, and a multitude of cars in attendance, Chopped will take place this year in early October. With much anticipation, we’re sure there will be plenty of dirty whitewalls and dirt kicking up in celebration of hot rod culture this Fall.
Be sure to visit the Chopped website here to find out more information about the raucous event that lies ahead in the depths of Australia. We appreciate Kustom Kulture and the upcoming Chopped 2015 event as a prestigious tribute, hands down.
