Made from 3 Ford Model T bodies measuring 18-feet long, this original build was featured in over twenty episodes the TV series and one full feature movie, “Munsters Go Home.” Officially called the 1964 Munster Koach, it featured gloss black pearl exterior paint and “Blood Red” velvet interior.

The car was built in less than 30 days, with total seating for eight, at the cost of $18,000. In today’s economy, that registers in at $130,000. The TV show’s producers contracted George Barris to provide the Koach. Barris paid Tom Daniel $200 to design the car, and had it built at Barris Kustoms. The Koach was finished by Dick Dean, Barris’ shop foreman at the time.

The Munster Koach has become so popular that it even has it’s own Facebook Fanpage on social media to keep the fans up to speed with its appearances. George Barris even commissioned a copy of the coach in 1986. The original Munster Koach car is on display in the Cars Of The Stars Motor Museum in Keswick, England.
