Honoring the Goodguys 29th West Coast Nationals in Pleasanton, California, Altamont Beer Works has teamed up with Goodguys Rod & Custom Association to brew and pour out an exclusive limited edition craft beer.

With the West Coast Nationals happening as we speak, Altamont Beer Works of Livermore, California, will be serving the “Goodguys Citra Haze” production brew from August 21-23, 2015, at the show. The idea for the wondrous collaboration spawned from Andrew Ebel, a local Pleasanton resident, beer enthusiast, and VP of Business Operations and Marketing for Goodguys.

“We were looking for a new and unique idea for a promotion to support our biggest Bay Area show of the year and thought it would be fun to do something totally different that not only hod rodders cruising in for the show from all corners of the country would love, but also the local community,” Ebel said. “The local beer scene is really popular and is definitely growing, so I called Steve Sartori at Altamont Beer Works to see if he was interested in collaborating on a special beer in honor of our show. He was on board instantly and the rest is history!”

Brewing for the limited edition beer began on Friday, August 7, 2015 and debuted at participating hotels, restaurants, and tap houses prior to the show on Wednesday, August 19, 2015. An official tap launch for the craft beer was held the same day in Livermore, but all adults will have the opportunity to try out the brew this weekend as the Altamont tap will be pouring at multiple locations throughout the Alameda County Fairgrounds all this weekend.

“We are stoked about working with Goodguys and with what we have going on with the beer,” said Sartori. “The super light, tropical hop flavors, and aromas will be the perfect fit for a nice, warm weekend of hot rodding and beer drinking fun!”
