If you’re heading to Cruisin’ the Coast this year and are looking to add to your car collection, or just want to see some rare rides, you might want to check out Vicari’s 26th Annual Biloxi Collector Car Auction. Over 600 specialty vehicles will cross the auction block in Mississippi, including a rare Buick Skylark and big-block Impala station wagon.

The 1953 Buick Skylark that will be up for auction was commissioned by Harvey Earle, who was a legendary styling chief at General Motors. There were only 1,690 Skylark’s built in 1953, so that adds to the rarity of this ride. The car rolled off the assembly line sporting a slick coat of white paint, a black and white pleated leather interior, and a black soft top. Under the hood, you’ll find a 322 cubic inch “Nail Head’ V8 that’s backed by a Dynaflow transmission.

Pete Vicari, owner of Vicari Auction Company adds some details about this auction.

“This exceptional Skylark has been meticulously restored and kept in climate-controlled storage until it goes up for sale at our October auction. We will be presenting a wide variety of vehicles, many at no reserve, and each morning, we’ll kick off the sale with an outstanding selection of memorabilia and automotive collectibles.”

If the Skylark isn’t your style, you can bid on an ultra-cool 1966 Chevy Impala station wagon that will be available during Vicari’s 26th Annual Biloxi Collector Car Auction. This long-top Chevrolet isn’t your average grocery getter, it’s pacing a 427 cubic-inch mill that’s backed by a four-speed transmission. The Impala went through frame-off restoration, and will come with an original Protect-O-Plate, a brochure with color chart, and the original Chevrolet catalog.
