Hurst Shifters Offers New Roll/Control Kits for Challenger SRT8, R/T

Hurst Shifters has always been on the leading edge of innovation and nothing has changed for the 2012 race season. With the company’s new Roll/Control kits for the 2008 to 2010 Challenger SRT8 and R/T models, now you can rest assured that you can heat up your tires and stage properly without worry about your car slipping forward. That means stickier tires and less chance of “red-lighting” on the drag strip.

Official Product Release:

Hurst “Roll/Control” for 2008-2010 Challenger SRT8 and R/T

Chatsworth, Calif. (March 2012) – They say there are thousands of ways to lose a race, but with “Roll/Control” kits from racing legend, Hurst Shifters, rolling through the staging beams won’t be on the list.

Designed for Dodge models with fully removable Traction Control, Hurst “Roll/Control” allows drag racers running the powerful 2008 through 2011 Dodge Challengers to safely and reliably lock the front wheels during the burn out and staging process allowing for more effective heating of the tires and reduced chance of red light on launch.

Hurst is known for quality racing and street products, and rigorous testing of the new Challenger “Roll/Control” kits has proved a 1/100,000 of a second release time and vibration tests have seen up to 30 G’s applied without mechanical failure.

“Roll/Control” from Hurst features advanced quality design stainless steel valve assembly for ultimate corrosion resistance, fully enclosed epoxy molded electrical coil for reliability and an attractive finned aluminum housing helps dissipate heat. The wide lightweight base provides excellent mounting stability and the kits include an extra threaded port for separate bleeder or brake line pressure gauge as well as the solenoid valve, snap-action switch, indicator light, 4-amp fuse, mounting screws and complete step-by-step photo instructions for perfect installation.

Features:

  • Split Second Response Time
  • 150 micron screen filtered ports to prevent contamination
  • Field Serviceable for Cleaning or Rebuilding
  • Vibration Tested up to 30 G’s
